In cooperation with our Graduate School, Access to Academic Resources and Research Training was given at Prof. Dr. Durmuş Günay Library Graduate Education Office. The training held at the Graduate Education Office was attended by the students of our Graduate School and our Institute Director Prof. Dr. Yücel NAMAL, Institute Secretary Vedat PEHLİVAN and Ebru EGEMAN, one of the staff of our Institute.

The training focused on the topics of searching databases, academic search engines, online borrowing and return for e-books, full text viewing and downloading, remote access and the use of Boolean operators, and information about all the services provided in our library was given.

In the training given by Ayşegül TOK and Ayşegül KARATAŞ, E-Resources and Reference Unit Officers, students were provided with detailed information on how to search databases, which play an important role in modern scientific research. How to apply Boolean operators during literature searching and how they can be used to narrow or broaden search results were also discussed in detail. Information on remote access alternatives and plagiarism detection programs was also provided.

The Training Office provides graduate students with practical application as well as theoretical knowledge. During the training, you can strengthen your scanning skills and practice literature searches by doing direct applications on computers.
